100 Black Men/State Farm African American Scholarship Directory Produced by Perfect Image
Perfect Image was proud to support John Grant, chief executive officer of 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. in producing the 2014 100 Black Men/State Farm African-American scholarship directory, aimed at helping more African American students attend college.
For the second year, the 100 Black Men of Atlanta teamed with State Farm Insurance to produce the directory.
"Our focus has been on making sure that we're providing opportunities to families in those challenged communities, the ones that can afford it the least. This tool is critical to assuring that they have their path to creating a different quality of life for their children than maybe they had," said Grant.
It's a one-stop location for information on scholarships based on need, merit and specific fields of study.
"Some of the scholarships don't focus on the GPA. Maybe it's the type of activities that they have involved in, or just what they plan to major in when they go to college," said Mimi Cheek, a State Farm agent in Norcross.
Last year, they distributed more than 30,000 copies of the book. In recent months, with the latest addition, they have given away more than 10,000 copies.
